Morning Song Application Process

Thank you for inquiring about Morning Song School. We have been proudly nurturing children at this location for almost 14 years!

We accept children from the ages of 2.9 years old through 6 years old. Children typically join our program at approximately 3 years old and remain with us until they are 5 or 6. We have a limited number of spaces for children under the age of 3, and we sometimes accept a child before the age of 2.9 if we feel the child is developmentally ready.

Each child’s readiness for our program is assessed individually, and we carefully put together a well-balanced group based on many factors, such as your child’s developmental readiness for our program, the careful balance of our group in terms of gender and temperament, and the ages and needs of each individual child.

We offer a two-day (Th-Fri), three-day (Mon-Wed) or five-day (Mon-Fri) program from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Extended care (after school care) & Early Care (before school care) are often available for an additional fee. Please read the information regarding our philosophy and general policies and call with any questions that arise.

The first step in the application process is to review our information and if you feel the description of our work with children fits with your family’s values, schedule a visit. When you arrive, you will meet your tour guide, who will show you our classroom and our outdoor gardens/play space. We ask that during your visit to the inside of the classroom, you refrain from asking questions or engaging in conversation, as this often disrupts the energy of the children’s fantasy play and takes the teachers attention away from the children. Please wait until you step out of the classroom to ask questions, or call us later in the day. Your guide will share our daily/weekly schedule with you and share some photos of some of our activities.

At the completion of your tour, you may take an application. If you decide you would like to enroll your child in our program, fill out and mail in your application with a $45.00 non-refundable application fee. We cannot consider your child for our program at any time unless we have a complete application on file.

Upon receiving your application, we will contact you and set up a date for you to bring your child in to meet the teacher. We will use our observation time with your child and the application information to help us determine as to whether or not our program would be an appropriate fit for your child. If your child is accepted into our program, all necessary paperwork and information will follow. Upon receipt of a deposit and paperwork, a space will be secured for your child.
